CCOBH Survey Responses from
 2026 Primary Election Candidates

Council of Civic Organizations of Brandywine Hundred (CCOBH) represents Delaware’s most populous district, with approximately 84,000 residents living in over 120 Civic and Homeowners’ Associations in the Brandywine Hundred.  

CCOBH is Brandywine Hundred’s nonpartisan community watchdog! 

CCOBH’s mission is to protect and enhance the quality of life and well-being of the people and communities of Brandywine Hundred.

CCOBH is represented by Senatorial Districts 1, 4, and 5; Representative Districts 6, 7, 10, and 12; and NCC Districts 2 and 8.

The 2026 Primary Elections will be held on September 15, 2026, and, among the CCOBH areas, candidates from Senatorial Districts 1 and 5 and State Representative Districts 6 and 12 will be on the ballot.  CCOBH reached out to all the candidates listed below and sent a survey on key issues of interest to all residents in CCOBH member communities.  

All the candidates are also members of the CCOBH community.  It is only fair for everyone to hear directly from the candidates themselves (incumbent or challenger) about their platforms, what they stand for, and the critical issues they would like to tackle to improve residents’ lives.  

CCOBH would like to especially thank all the candidates for stepping up and declaring their candidacies for the 2026 Primary and General Elections, and for taking time out of their busy schedules to respond to the survey in detail.   Thank You!

The following candidates have responded to the survey in detail. As CCOBH residents, you will vote for one candidate in each district.   At the time the surveys were sent out at the end of July, the only challenger in the General Election was Mr. Steve Pickering (R). Therefore, CCOBH sent him the same survey, and he has graciously responded to the questions to introduce himself to everyone at this time.   Please click on the names of the candidates to see their responses.

Key dates to note according to the Department of Elections:

  • The last day to submit a request for a Primary Election absentee ballot to be mailed is Friday, September 11, 2026.
  • The deadline for the Department of Elections to issue absentee ballots for the Primary Election is Monday, September 14, 2026 at noon.
  • Absentee ballots must be received by the Department of Elections by Primary Election Day, September 15, 2026, at the close of polls, 8 p.m., in order to count.
