Brandywine School District Candidates Forum – Thurs. May 9th 7PM

The Council of Civic Organizations of Brandywine Hundred, Inc. and The Eastern Brandywine Hundred Coordinating Council, Inc. are pleased to announce that they will be sponsoring a Candidates Forum for the candidates seeking election to the Brandywine School District Board. This event, open to all who are interested in the future of our schools and community, will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Auditorium of Springer Middle School located at 2220 Shipley Road.

This School Board election, which will take place on Tuesday May 14th, pits three incumbent members of the Brandywine District School Board against three challengers.

Given that three of the seven seats are up for election and that all three seats are being contested, the outcome of this election could potentially change the composition and direction of the current School Board and will have profound impact of the future of the District. Thus, knowing the views of the candidates and where they stand on the issues facing our District and its students is imperative for you to make an informed choice on May 14th.

CCOBH and the Eastern Brandywine Hundred Coordinating Council invite everyone to join us in meeting the candidates and learning more about what they propose for education choices and finances in Brandywine Hundred and that portion of the City of Wilmington included in the School District.

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday May 9th.
