What are those “Yellow Signs” I see in my daily travels? What changes are happening to the property there?

In New Castle County, any property that is the subject of a development plan or is scheduled for public hearing before the Board of Adjustment, Planning Board, Resource Protection Area Technical Advisory Committee, Historic Review Board or Design Review Advisory Committee must post a sign.

These mandatory signs, regulated by the Department of Land Use, provide details of the proposed project, contact information for the applicant, and instructions for finding more information on the county’s website. The signs are 4 feet by 4 feet (unless it is a residential application to the Board of Adjustment) and are posted on each right-of-way adjacent to the subject property. The Board of Adjustment signs are much smaller and are posted by the Department of Land Use.

CCOBH hopes to see you on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026, 6:00pm at the 1st Unitarian Parish Hall. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn what you need to know, about changes to the developments in your community, “when the yellow sign goes up”.

PARKING: Parking is available along Whitby Road and across the street from the main entrance of the church in UNLIGHTED parking lots. Bringing a flashlight is suggested. See aerial map. Here is the entrance walkway to the facility.

Signage will be posted to lead you to the meeting room.

Please share this Seminar notice with your community officers.
