The Annual Christina River Watershed Cleanup will be a little different this year.
The Naamans Creek Watershed Association (NCWA) is coordinating with the Christina River Watershed Cleanup for April Cleanup dates.
The Cleanup will run from Sunday, April 18 to noon on Saturday, April 24. Here is a flyer you can distribute.
NCWA has posted a list of spots to clean – Participants have the freedom to choose a day and time that is best suited for themselves and their family. Everyone will have to supply their own trash bags and gloves.
Here is the link to see a list of locations and sign up.
- If you can, take bagged trash home in bags. If so, please note (on this signup or email) how many full bags you take!
- Trash you cannot take home or large items, can be dropped off at the Claymont Fire Company on Naaman’s Rd (nos. 1-20, 21). Enter the lot from the Naamans Road entrance NOT the Marsh Road entrance, and go to marked location in the back (try to keep the trash in one pile).
- Or trash can go to Tri-State Mall (nos21-30) – dropped off at the bottom of the lower parking lot behind Levitz, near the wooded area fence.
Sponsored by the Christina River Basin Cleanup, the Claymont Fire Company, and NCWA.
Thanks to everyone who is able to lend a hand. Your volunteering efforts are much appreciated!
Thanks to: GOT JUNK for providing trash pickup.
