10-10:30 Watch Out for These Plants – Greg Gagliano, Red Tail Restoration and Land Mgmt.
10:30-11 Incorporating Native plants into your Plant Design – Beth Stark, Goodstay Gardens & Landscape Designer
11-noon Workshop Choices: Choose One or All!

  • Tree Planting with Councilman John Cartier (3 plantings: 11:10, 11:30, 11:40) – learn proper tree planting technique and bring wildlife to Trinity Presbyterian Church! Elaine Schmerling/Carol Larson

  • Design with Native plants: – bring photos, surveys, and/or sketches and let us make suggestions! Beth Stark and Carol Larson, Arden Forest Chair

  • Plant Identification – Not sure if you have good native plants or invasive weeds? Bring photos or plants samples (if abundant – do NOT pick rare plants) for identification. Greg Gagliano/Elaine Schmerling

  • Introduction to Backyard Composting – make your own black gold! Hetty Francke, Master Composter
