NCC@2050 Comprehensive Plan

NCC@2050 will replace the New Castle County 2012 Comprehensive Plan update. The 2012 Comprehensive Plan is the current comprehensive development plan, required by the State, serving to guide development and decision-making associated with our community’s built and natural environment.

The County wants to increase the input by county residents.  The County would like local civic associations to make their residents aware of the surveys. Residents can choose between a survey that takes 5-10 minutes or a more comprehensive one that takes 10-20 minutes.

Here are the direct links to the two surveys:

  1. Growing Better Places: New Castle County: This survey is an exercise that will allow you to consider of the benefits and trade-offs of different land use policy decisions.  There are many different approaches that the community could take to guiding expected growth over the next 30+ years. The following exercise includes hypothetical questions, based on real data, that will help us all understand the implications of different amounts and patterns of growth in New Castle County into 2050.  This survey should take around 15-20 minutes. (https://app.maptionnaire.com/en/6636/ )
  2.  NCC@2050 Survey 2-key directions: The following survey is a brief survey intended to help prioritize and confirm what we’ve heard thus far as well as provide the opportunity to provide additional input.  This survey should take around 5-10 minutes. (https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/d64fda115da642bcaf58cb816eb4b526)

Please feel free to share the surveys with your friends, neighbors, and social media networks.  Kindest regards,
